Timothy MannTimothy Mann

Timothy Mann heads up the practices commercial department.

Timothy Mann was admitted as an Advocate on 22nd September 1982 after serving five years articles with Peter Farrant, the then Vicar General and Diocesan Chancellor of the Isle of Man, he was appointed a Notary Public on the 15th November 1985.

After two years in practice with the firm of GoughMorris Mr. Mann founded his first practice in September 1994, Mann & Co. which he built up to a four partner firm. Mann & Co. subsequently changing it's name to Mann & Partners in 1997 shortly after which Mr. Mann retired from that practice. Mann & Partners still exists and although wholly independent from MannBenham Limited cordial relations are maintained between the two legal practices.

In September 1997 Mr. Mann founded the firm of MannBenham with Mr. Miles Benham and on the 1st October 2000 the practice was transferred to the company MannBenham Limited an incorporated legal practice.

Miles Benham Miles Benham

Miles was admitted to the Manx Bar on the 25th September 1996 and is a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.

In September 1997 Miles and Timothy Mann formed the firm MannBenham. The practice of Mann Benham was transferred to the incorporated legal practice of MannBenham Limited on the 1st October 2000 which in 2008 changed its name to MannBenham Advocates Limited.

Miles is a director and shareholder of the company.

Miles heads up the practices litigation department which deals with commercial and trust litigation, general civil litigation, matrimonial litigation and dispute resolution.

Miles main area of practice is commercial and trust litigation involving proceedings before the Isle of Man High Court court.

Miles is a member of the International Tax Planning Association www.itpa.org and is the author of various legal publications.

Carly StrattonCarly Stratton

Carly studied law at Durham University and undertook her Legal Practice course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.

Carly joined MannBenham in 2005, passed her Manx Bar exams in November 2006 and was admitted to the Manx Bar in January 2008.

Carly is a director and shareholder of the company.

Martin PatersonMartin Paterson

Martin studied Law at Northumbria University. Martin has been with MannBenham since September 2008, completing a period of training with the company.

Martin was called to the Manx Bar in February 2011. Martin has since been made a director and shareholder of MannBenham.
